A little bit of
History
I grew up on a Karoo farm, where my parents started a weaving mill, they made carpets from karakoel and later expanded into making blankets from mohair. Their passion for job creating and love for textiles were passed to me and I want to continue in making beautiful locally produced products in Namibia.
My vision for The Mill @ Namibia is to create heirloom-quality handwoven carpets from Swakara wool, locally produced in Stampriet.
Coming from a family of master weavers, it was a natural process when we moved to the south of Namibia, the heart of the Swakara sheep farming community, to start a wool mill manufacturing wool carpets.

Our Mission
We want to revive the Swakara wool industry and, in the process, create job opportunities for Namibian women. Namibia has a critical shortage of skilled labor outside the realm of formal education.
It is our mission to instil the value of entrepreneurship and transform the lives of women so that they are able to meet their own needs. We don’t compromise on production methods, cost of wool, or labor when it comes to producing quality carpets.
